Social transportation services in the cities and municipalities in the Stuttgart region

There are several social transportation services in the VVS area that offer more mobility for

  • Senior citizens
  • people with disabilities
  • other citizens with limited mobility

These services have no timetables or routes and VVS tickets are generally not valid.

"Bürgerbusle" in Aidlingen (Landkreis Böblingen)

Since April 2013, older or mobility-impaired people in Aidlingen have had the opportunity to be picked up from home by a minibus, taken shopping, and then brought back home. Other trips, such as visits to the doctor or medical treatments – even beyond the municipal boundaries – can also be arranged by phone in advance. The “Bürgerbusle” is a joint initiative of the municipality, the Diakonie Aidlingen, and the company FEMA, which operates the rides and also offers additional household services for seniors. The minibus is driven by volunteers.

  • Operating hours: Wednesdays from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and Fridays from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
  • Fare: €2.40 per trip
  • Advance booking required at 07034/9422775

Passengers may use the bus for shopping, medical appointments (except when the health insurance covers the trip), attending cultural events, or visiting friends or relatives.
