Passenger Advisory Board

A Passenger Advisory Board was established in 1997 to involve passengers in shaping public transportation within the VVS. The board advocates for the interests of passengers in Stuttgart and the member districts of Böblingen, Esslingen, Göppingen, Ludwigsburg, and the Rems-Murr district.

Members of the Passenger Advisory Board

The Passenger Advisory Board consists of representatives from various regional transportation associations. These associations represent the user groups of public transportation. As a result, the board represents not only the interests of individuals but also the concerns of all social mobility groups. All members serve in a volunteer capacity.

The following associations are represented on the Passenger Advisory Board:

How the Passenger Advisory Board Works

The Passenger Advisory Board serves in an advisory capacity to the transit companies and the VVS. Members set the agenda in advance of the meetings. The VVS is responsible for preparing statements, inviting speakers, and taking minutes of the meetings. Current issues in local public transportation are discussed, with members contributing their expertise.

Meetings are held three times a year. Special meetings are convened as needed. In addition to the VVS management, representatives of the transportation companies also attend the meetings, depending on the topics under discussion.

Key Areas of Focus

In recent years, the Passenger Advisory Board has addressed a range of issues. As a result, numerous improvements have been implemented.
