Anyone who has taken out a D-Ticket subscription with a transport company/association outside the VVS can also book a TicketPlus upgrade for the VVS area of validity or a 1st class supplement for all of Baden-Württemberg as a subscription — however, this does not apply to buyers of the reduced Deutschland-Ticket JugendBW or other reduced variants (except for the Deutschland-Ticket Job). The TicketPlus upgrade includes transferability and an improved mobility guarantee, as well as a passenger travel option: on weekends and public holidays, as well as on weekdays from 7 p.m., one adult and up to three or all of your own children up to and including the age of 17 can travel free of charge within the VVS area.
For non-VVS customers, the TicketPlus upgrade for the VVS area or the 1st class supplement for all of Baden-Württemberg is issued in person at a DB Travel Center within the VVS area, at an SSB Customer Center in Stuttgart, or at the VVS subscription center at Göppingen station. It is issued on an additional polygoCard (VVS chip card), which is also made out in the name of the Deutschland-Ticket holder. For this purpose, the valid Deutschland-Ticket along with proof of a subscription concluded with an “external” fare provider must be presented when taking out the VVS TicketPlus or 1st class subscription. A photo is not required for issuing the polygoCard. The polygoCard is issued immediately at the customer or travel center and handed over to the customer. The VVS TicketPlus or 1st class upgrade subscription is issued on a calendar-month basis. Please note that this procedure for the TicketPlus upgrade is only possible for holders of D-Tickets on chip cards — due to transferability, TicketPlus is not issued to mobile ticket users, including VVS customers.
