Hiking book author Dieter Buck has once again gone on tour with the VVS. In his new hiking book "From view to view - hiking in the Stuttgart region with the VVS", Buck devotes himself to 24 tours that focus on routes with particularly beautiful views. The book is intended to invite those interested to use the bus and train for excursions.
Discover hidden gems away from the hustle and bustle
In addition to classics such as the burial chapel on Württemberg, Karlshöhe, Hohenasperg Fortress and Birkenkopf, the VVS hiking book also presents hidden gems away from the hustle and bustle. These include the Venusberg in Aidlingen, the Kernenturm in the Schurwald or the historic Karlstein in Weinstadt.
To ensure that everyone gets their money's worth, there are tours of different lengths and for different requirements: leisurely walks for older people, challenging tours for experienced hikers and exciting hikes that are also exciting for families with children. All points of interest along the way are explained in detailed information texts, and important information such as length, altitude differences and trail conditions are clearly indicated in a separate section. Detailed maps also make planning easier. The arrival and return options by train, S-Bahn, light rail or bus are described in detail.
